The universal craft of weaving is rooted in ancient cultures from across the globe and each piece in my collection pays homage to that history.
I create my artisan weavings with love and patience, it’s a meditative process for me. Each of these pieces takes many hours to complete.
As a selective hoarder I collect materials from both the natural and man-made world. My growing stash of treasures is my main source of inspiration, it’s a win-win situation, as recycling and reducing waste is important to me.
I have several ideas in incubation at any given time. Currently I’m utilising my French knitting, interwoven with other ephemera that complements the piece.
No two pieces are alike, I aim to innovate with experimental processes.
